Abstract.

The review of results of all six previous radar observations, as well as an analysis of forthcoming close approaches of known short-period comets with Earth for the next 25 year interval indicate the evidence of potential possibility of episodic researches this objects by means of upgraded bistatic radar system Evpatoria (70-m dish, 6-cm power transmitter) – Effelsberg (100-m dish, two-channel low-noise receiver). However, for the regular investigations of the multitude of Solar System small bodies a dedicated and substantially more powerful asteroid-comet radar is needful.
