Abstract
In this review, we analyze the role of chaos and complex dynamics in information processing by nonlinear dynamical systems. We in-troduce a model of a chaotic processor and show that it can help us to implement certain information processing procedures that are difficult to realize by traditional approaches. Examples of implementation and application of chaotic processors to picture and text processing are presented.
